Anatomy of a Photo Shoot
Christmas Day 2003

For anyone wondering how we managed to capture the perfect Christmas picture of two smiling three-month-old babies, well it doesn't happen with just one or two snapshots.  Here are the outtakes from that photo shoot, complete with kiddie commentary.

G:  Which way are we supposed to be looking?  Here or over there?
M: I think it's this way.
M: I think I ate too much at breakfast. My tummy feels funny.

G: Ugh, me too...

M: Are we still supposed to be looking this way?

G: I don't know, but there's a funny person over here.

M: Oh, I remember her, she is funny.
M: Hey funny person, tell Galen what you told me, about what little boys are made of.
M: I knew it! You're made of snips and snails and puppy dog tails!

G: Uhh, I am?

G: I want to sit in my own corner now.

M: A little help someone...I'm falling...I'm falling...I'm falling...

M: ...I've fallen.  Lovely.  Go ahead, take a picture before you pick me up..

G: Umm, is someone going to take her off me soon?

M: Oh, oh, oh, let's do Demon Eyes.

G: Okay!

M: You can stop now.

G: Ooga-boogo-boo, I'm a demon.

G: Oy, that hurts!

M: I told you stop sooner, silly!

G&M: Okay, is this serious enough for you now?
M: Alright, let's both give them a smile.
Perfection!
G: You were kidding before, right?  About the snips and snails and puppy dog tails?

M: Are we done yet?
